Lot more riders here also. I would say doubled in the last 2-3 years.

Last summer NYPD really went after motorcycles, pulling over everyone they saw to check on license, insurance, etc. Maybe they got rid of a lot of unlicensed riders (good) and the legit riders decide it wasn''t worth the aggravation (bad). Personally I see about the same number of riders when I''m out, but I mostly use the bike for work during the week, or else I''m out early a.m. on weekends. I couldn''t say if there''s less group rides or bike night activity, since that''s not what I do anyway. I rode from Brooklyn out to Jersey this morning for work, and I saw a decent number of bikes considering it was the first cool, windy day that really felt like autumn.
