Getting ready to convert my bike to a 954 swingarm. Got the brake bracket, shock mount plates and swingarm. Cleaned and greased all bearings. From those who have done it, what did you use to take off the main pivot bolt, you know the one that take a 24mm hex tool to remove? Anything else to look for? Did you have to remove the pipe?

Go to the hardware store and get a bolt with a 24mm head, buy a nut as well and weld it on the end.  That''s how I made the tool for $5.  If you don''t have a welder or a friend with one, take it to a muffler shop with $5-10 cash and somebody will take the 30sec to do it.

If you don''t have a welder, just buy two nuts and put them on the bolt together and tighten them up. The outside nut will lock the inside nut and viceversa, It will hold just as good as a welded one.
