I need some answers pls. wots the story with my headlights?? 98 rr with H4, and i see all the adds for trik lookin xenon bulbs that illuminte the hell out of everythin. can i just thro them straight in or do i need a kit? has anybody had any experience with this?

Ya, the xenon are just regular bulbs that emit more light. Just make sure you get the same wattage bulbs as stock. For HID you gotta get a kit (bulb, ballast, ignitor) but it will shame the xenon's. Cost is a big factor : xenons can be had for under $20 a set. HID is gonna set you back at least $150 for 1 kit.

thanks for that, i searched around today and sort of figured that was the case. The globes on Oz 98's are 45/45w where as the rest of the world got 60/55w, so i'm gonna upgrade to those in xenon as a start, rekon it'll make a heap of difference from my perspective,

I recomend SilverStar headlights. A set for my 99 900RR costs about $40. Turns night into day. *caution* Look into them too long and they`ll fry your eyes

here is a link to upgrade to HID it is a bit pricey but I bought the ones for my Saturn and it is a good deal for the price I don't know what type of bulbd my bike use (94 cbr900rr) because I havent seen it yet but if I have h4's like you I would buy a kit.

Regular H4 style lights will not fit in my 99 900rr. The two prongs on the lower part do not line up with the ones on the bike.?.?.? I will modify though.
