When he was explaining the clutch wheelie what gear is best to try this in?

tutman6 -> RE: any tips for doin wheelies (3/3/2006 7:12:44 PM)

if you got a 900 or bigger, just give it gas, let off the throttle, you'll feel the front end come down and open the throttle , the bike should come right up., as for the clutch method, it can be done prolly 1 st through 4th gears

6hundred_doubleR -> RE: any tips for doin wheelies (3/7/2006 9:37:22 PM)

yeah, be careful

natlbnldr -> RE: any tips for doin wheelies (3/8/2006 12:42:27 PM)

There are two types of riders...Those who have fallen and those who will fall...greater chance practicing wheelies! If your going to practice, I'd suggest practicing with your plastics off and frame slider are a must if you want to save some cash after a crash! Be careful, otherwise keep the front wheel on the ground and enjoy the ride!!!!!

FordFrenzy97 -> RE: any tips for doin wheelies (3/8/2006 6:59:27 PM)

I personally don"t see anything wrong with wheelieing (hope I spelled that right) every once in a while. Twisties are more fun but when you're sittin' next to a hot piece of a$$ at a traffic light............. hey, come on, ya gotta.

no1biscuit -> RE: any tips for doin wheelies (3/8/2006 7:46:59 PM)

Ok FordFrenzy97, when you put it that way, you can do them once in a while.
