What are peoples opinions to running the bike up to high RPM's

Would you, not run the bike pass 10.5k or not go there ever,
or does this bike like it high.

Just after feed back in regards to performance and wear & tear / damage

Almost every weekend I race my mates on the country roads doing at least 300km's. Almost the entire time is spent with the needle above 7,000 rom. Bike has done 82,000km still feels tight is on its original cam chain and CCT has only now started showing signs of needing replacing.

As long as your valve clearances & carb balance are spot on and you keep up the oil changes it shpould be fine.

Agree with Trips. A large part of the 120,000 miles on mine were spent over 7,000. No point in going over 10,500. There's nothing there.

But geez it sounds good going through a tunnel past the cages in Peak hour on the rev limiter. ;)

The reason why I ask this question is the other day, I gunned it and it struggled about 7k to 8k as it does, then quickly run to 11k
So, I am wondering, if 11k is bad and, Do I have a rev limiter?
