well if you have a pipe that is not made for you bike, for the right back pressure or whatever it can burn your valves.... just like taking off your pipe to begin with right? i mean you have to have the right back pressure... someone back me up cuz now im doubting myself

Having some backpressure is important, but it would most likey not solely cause you to burn valves. A freer flowing exhaust causes a leaner mix, and a leaner mix makes the exhaust temps higher. Exhaust temps that are too high can burn the valves and ruin them.

well shoot idc much anymore haha. if im wrong then someone put a 1k pipe on a 6.. then tell us if it continues to run right. ill keep my yoshi pipe tho :)

I saw a u-tube video of a turkey with a 600rr(I think) who cut off his factory muffler and welded on a slash-cut 3 inch megaphone tip from a pickup. It sounded like ass but it ran. That had to have had less back pressure. That kind of stuff can work, but over time is where it causes problems.
