wow 16.. i started when i was 17.. please tell me you have a f4i? if its an rr than i guess just be careful man, the only other guy at my high school that had a bike (had an rr) wrecked his and died.

enough rant tho, what kind of sound do you like? if your going to get a slip on than its just prefference in look, color, and sound really they all do about the same on increase hp.

throaty sounds are gonna be jardine, two brothers, scorpian, arrow.
gp sounds are gonna be yoshi....
if you want ridiculously too loud, two brothers for sure.

go text sound bites and search some with the search function

Hmm.

No kid at 16 is ready for a 600RR, but good luck and ride like your grandma is riding on the passenger seat.

Get a two brothers

nah dude its an RR
ive been on a harley sportster 1200 for about 9 months, but i finally got rid of that and moved on to this.
and yeah thanks i will be careful.
yeah i am going for a throaty sound, not too loud but not too quiet.
something that adds hp but at the same time looks and sounds good.
yeah i was lookin into the gp but theyre a little pricy.
i think ill try scorpian

I am not sure about an RR but I do know my freind''''''''''''''''s little brother that just got out of high school got in a wreck a few weeks ago this is what happened

    Before

    this is him

I know when you are younger. You always think it can never happen to you. But two of my friend''''''''''''''''s in the past two months have both been in serious bike accidents and one of them has been riding motocross bikes and atvs all his life. So never think it could NEVEr happen to you. Because everything is a lot closer to home then you think

take it easy and stay safe

No disrespect dude, but I hate when people list "I rode a dirtbike since I was X" as a credential for being able to properly ride a streetbike.  It''s like saying "Hey guys, I just started playing guitar, but I''m gonna be shreddin'' in no time because I played guitar hero for 4 years now."  It''s not the same, and the only thing that''s really gonna transfer over is how you shift the bike.  Apples and oranges my friend...street bikes accelerate, handle, turn, and stop much differently, and then you have the element of traffic and roads to worry about.  Take it slow and be safe.

    thanks for the heads up.
when i first wanted one i didnt think it was that big of a deal, but lately ive been hearing about a lot of accidents and deaths.
thanks for the advice though, im def going to take it slow for a while, then build confidence over time.
i kinda wanna live to get out of highschool, and to keep my bike in one peice.

    nah its cool bro
all i was saying was that im not new to a bike with a motor.
and, like i said, ive been on a harley since dec 20th of last year, so i do know how the road is different from offroad.
i rode the harley almost every day since dec 20th.
but, i also get how a 600rr is nothing like a sportster 1200 in the handling and speed department.
so, i do agree with you on the thing about offroad experience not applying to street, but i do have a good bit of road experience, just not on a sportbike yet.
and thanks for the headsup, hope to se you guys around the forum.
btw, im going to bikeweek next wed for 4 days, has anyone been to daytona bike week?
last year it was a lot of fun.
