hey guys.  New to this forum.  I usually troll but I need your advice now.  I just sold my 07 600rr to just pay cash for a bike and be done with payments.  I searched far and wide and narrowed my bike choice down to a 954rr because of looks and performance.  The bike I found has 28XX miles, light scratches on left fairing due to fall in sand and a few scrapes on the clutch cover from the guys girlfriend knocking it over.  Its got a fender eliminator, db windscreen, two brothers exhaust and is silver and Black.  Here are some pics of it.  Oh I talked him down from a much higher asking price to $4k even.

What do you guys think?

The scratches look pretty minor anyhow. I also wouldnt let the miles scare me either. If its been well taken care of $4k for a 54 is a very good price.

The milage is 2853 not 28,530.  I have no idea how he rode it only 500 miles a year.  he said he has 2 kids and no time to ride and he bought it after the first owner dropped it in sand and was too scared of it.

check the title and verify what milage it has on it from the first owner to the second owner isnt higher than 28XX

if the first owner sold the bike with 500 mile on it then the title he has should have less than the 28XX he says it does.

some times people swap guage clusters!

is it an 02 or 03?

Hellof a deal man, buy it!  A neighbor (rural area couple miles down the road) bought an 02 new just like that, sits in his garage with less than 2000 miles on it.  He was a town rider only, got married, now has two kids and never does anything with that bike.  I wanna buy it when he gets real about selling it.

take a good look at the tail emd for damage.
I have the same bike, and the stickers are non stock color on the bike you are buying.
That means either, it has damage underneath and covered with new stickers, OR there was more serious damage and the entire tail end was replaced.

I dont know my black/silver bikes as well as red/black. But i do know that one year the black/silver bike came with a black tail and a white sticker. It looks factory to me.
