I did not see anything about aftermarket chrome wheels for the cbr 1000f 1993 range. I was wondering if anyone has purchased any or would suggest them? I think they would look sweet with the black , grey/silver and red then to have chrome wheels . But I can''t find any discussion about it on here. Lots of polishing threads but way to much work for me. Any info would be great. i will post some pics of my bike when i get them , As all of you i am proud of it. and it is super clean. only mods i have done are color shceme matched second look tank skin. painted my valve caps honda red tinted wind screen nickel plated bar ends. would like some polished slip ons or chrome ones but i see the only place to get those is the UK ( $$$) and some chrome wheels.. any suggestions on the chrome wheels would be greatly appreciated..

Have your own wheels bead blasted and chromed - cheapest option available to my knowledge. Postage of chromed wheels from the UK will be a killer. My bike has s/steel slip ons, made locally. See attached. There aren''t too many aftermarket parts for the CBR1000F, but I see you aren''t too keen on doing too much physical work, or maybe don''t have the time, so your options are pretty limited. Chrome front and rear footpegs look good, too - easy to remove and have chromed. Keep us posted on your efforts. Thumbnail Image

Thanks for the reply , i was actually talking about the slip ons from the UK not the wheels. There are plenty of places in the usa that sale the chrome wheels but i was just not sure about them. I dont see any one on here with any. so i thought i would ask. I would love to have some slip ons like you have for my 1993. did you have to re-jet your carbs? and i don''t mind doing physical work but i just don''t have that much free time. I don''t know to much about taking my rims off and doing the wheels by hand , not as l familiar with a motorcycle as i am a truck , car, or the 3 wheelers. I am very mechanicaly inclined but it sure seems like a lot of work and once you start you can''t stop . I could get a set of chrome wheels from calif. for like $700 or so and keep mine. or i could trade mine in for a core charge and pay around 500. How much were your slip ons? and are they loud ?
