hey peeps

i got a kbc helmet with cool lightning design on it for my birthday but it''s matte black and i want a gloss finish.

too late to take back....so can i spray a clear-coat on it myself with a rattle can ? or will that run-crinkle-or-other-wise-look-like-crap ?

has anyone out there tried it and if successful can you suggest what type of paint to use ??

with a rattlecan job it will most likely turn out like crap as it is had to get a nice smooth glossy finish. in addition to that, can paints usually don''t do so well being handled all the time, it''ll fade, get nicks, etc.

Thats all my personal experience though, i''ve painted a lot of things before and have never found a rattlecan paint good enough for say, a helmet. I could be wrong though.

Yer ..and spraying a helmet with thinners based paint may not be a good idea mate ..unless you know for sure the material its made from is resistant..
