Weird feeling and noise - 10/12/2008 11:25:15 AM    cnjbrooks   Posts: 2 Joined: 7/29/2008 Status: offline Hey guys, this is my first post, so sorry if I didn''t do it right.  I have a 1990 600F.  I recently noticed a strange "rubbing" feeling in the foot pegs along with a weird sort of rubbing noise.  It sounds like it is coming from the under side of the bike.  I have checked the tires, chain, sprockets and everything else I can imagine.  I only notice this when I am slowing to a stop without applying my brakes.  If I accelerate, it stops.  Apply the brakes while this is happening and it still occurs.  Any help at all is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.  Post #: 1

There is a rubber protector that covers the front end of the swingarm. When you slow using engine braking it allows the slack to be above the swing arm and it there is too much slack it may rub.
