On my 02 F4i I need to replace the hand grips and I think I have a general idea how to do that but how do you take off the Metal piece at the end of each grip. I see the screw but when I turn it the metal piece turns too and nothing seems to happen, how do I get those off?

Don''t let a 300lb red faced dutch goon near your bar ends or you too will need to learn how to remove broken bolts. The bar end is held in place by a metal anchor crushing a rubber grommet. If you can pull on the weight and turn the screw it should come out.

Update for getting bar ends off. I almost gave up when I tried one more thing. I have a 19.2V electric impact (900 inlbs of torque) and I put that on there and it spun the bolt and bar end right off
