I don't remember who... but we had a post showing the difference in lights. The HID are a lot brighter and also really white. This takes away from the ability to see the road conditions. In the picture the member was showing... he was showing off how they look and someone else pointed out... but look... you can't see where the road meets the sidewalk. They did blend together. I'm not sure I'm unhappy with the amount of light I have. I'd like to look at silver star to change the color a little, but not if I loose road details. I give, I can't find the post showing the pics. But one note... dont most people use HID on the dim side only? If you run both, you're pulling a lot more amperage. Plus... if you tyr to use the brights to get attention... it takes a second for the HID to turn on, it's not instant like an incadecent bulb. So if you flick the high beam on and right back off.... will you notice the flash?

No need to replace for life of the vehicle 35% less power consumption, thus generate much less heat during operation HID vs. Halogen Technologies HID lighting improves durability by 10 times as road vibrations can cause damage to halogen filament, but there is nothing to break inside HID bulb. These light sources also produce a blue-white light that is safer because it is closer to natural daylight. The color temperature is more than 5000K compared to 2300K for halogen. The light output from a 35W HID Xenon lamp is 300% more light than a 55W halogen bulb. The HID Xenon system will also consume much less power from your vehicles electrical system and generate much less heat during operation.

my apoligies MgA_ODEN. I was going off the info I read from other members here. I never looked into the HIDs because I feel that $30 or $40 is enough money for lights. I'll do my home work next time
