So i have an 08 600rr and for the 07 and 08, the back headlight cover does not have a hole in it. As most of you know, if you want to install HID on the bike, you need to connect it with the ballist. so is there an aftermarket back cover for it or do i have to drill a hole in the cover?

Welcome to the forum!

Wouldn''t it be easier to just drill the hole? Seems a lot cheaper than to buy a whole new aftermarket back cover. It''s probably faster too.

You are going to have to drill the holes. Try to find some fancy rubber grommets from the hardware store to make it nice.

cool thanks guys... and skitz.... the 05 and 06 oem has a hole in it.... why do you need to do it?

You can get rubber grommets with the wire holes at Lowe''s. They''re in the same area where the nuts/bolts trays are (in the nuts and bolts section) It''ll take some force to pop the connectors through the little holes, but it works great. I drilled my holes off-set because the bulbs don''t sit exactly center with the middle of the cover.
