its really just preference...some people just like different things. including exhausts. as for me, i have the jardine on my 600RR and i think it sounds awesome. i have never heard the devil pipe so i couldnt help ya in that department. my jardine is loud as hell...with a really low growl to it...compared to the stock. it kinda like growls in the lower gears at slower speeds and when you hit the throttle...man the thing just screams! installation was relativley easy...this coming from a guy who doesnt kow a whole lot about motorcycles. couldnt tell ya how much more hp i picked up cuz ive never dyno-ed my bike before but just the "feel" of the bike seems like it added a few more on. the bike just feels more snappy and acceleraion seems like there is more there too. if ya know what i mean. but as for jardine...i would do it all over again

Personally, I picked up a Two Bros Racing. I talked to many experts who all said they were the best for performance and value. I bought mine last week and am having it installed with a power commander next week.

do you have to use a programmer with just a slip on?

you don't have to, but the slip-on will cause the bike to be more jumpy. The power commander will smooth out the power, not to mention accentuate the power that the slip-on is providing. I was recommended by many people to get a pc with the exhaust.
