Hey Guys I got word a couple weeks ago my bike was in at honda dealership (06 Tribal) and they were to put my frame sliders on for me.......I went to look at the bike yesterday b4 they were to drop it off today and the messssssssed them up huge it looked like the most hastily done job i had ever seen. So after complaining and bla bla bla I am getting the other 06 Tribal they had in a crate but I had to pay for the labour on the other one and let them keep my sliders as they are gonna try to sell it as a floor model now. So my question now is where can a get the tool that you put into the engine mount bolt hole that marks the putty on the inside of the bike's fairing? I am pretty confident after seeing thier shmuck up that i could do it myself better. Or is there another method that is better? Thanks Jay

i think the popular method is to remove the fairing, then replace your existing mounting bolt with the longer one that will come with the slider, put the puddy on the inside of the fairing. then when you put the fairing in place it will show in the puddy where the bolt has to come through. to be honest i took a very tiny drill bit, loosened the back part of the fairing so i could see the factory bolt, estimated where to drill, then with the small guide whole, saw the adjustment necessary and took the hole saw to it, are mine perfect, no. but from any more than 4 feet away they are. i may have 1/8 inch difference at the most around the slider, but i'm happy.
