Ok, I just transfered the the title for my 03 600 RR yesterday. Can you believe the state wanted me to pay taxes on 8500.00 That is what they said the blue book value is. I spent approx 5k for the bike and I have to pay tax for 8500. Oh and I live in Washington State so tax is a lovely 9.1% I have all of the documentation stating that I paid 5k for this vehicle and I still have to pay tax for 8500. What a jip..... At least it is only a one time fee. I coulda bought a Shoei for what I paid in TAX, awww who needs a freakin helmet anyway. j/k Just ranting and raving.

Based on my parent's zip in WA, the bluebook on an '03 600RR is $6040 retail value. You got screwed! http://www.kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/ke.kb.mr?kbb.WA;351207;WA029&98277;rc;r&&2003;Honda;CBR600RR;44599;15875;;;;&&&&& You should ask them what year their book is. I'd fight it, cause your getting taxed on $2500 over the true value.

Yeah I thought so, bout getting screwed, by Bush No less! At least he coulda used KY, or at least come chain lube. Even If I was to try and fight it I would probably not see my $$$. They had the value on their computer and was nice enough to print one for me. Save the F*****G tree and give me my MONEY! OK OK, Im calm. At least next time I see Bush I'll ask him 'how was golf?" Then I'll tell him to ******** ***** *****!!!!*******! *******! and Have a COKE AND A SMILE ON ME! I got my oppurtunity to pay for the monorail tax, Woo Hoo! Oh wait their is no monorail (those of you who live in WA might know exactly what i'm saying.) I live in the greater King County area Seattle basically. I'm just curious, If I was to go and buy a new one how much tax would they charge me then? Hmmmmmmmm Bush need to practice on his F******G PUTTING!!!!!!!!!!! ugh

Kentucky's the same way. You pay book value on your vehicle EVERY YEAR when you renew your license plates.
