Does anyone know where I might be able to find a set of adjustable (slotted) camshaft sprockets for the 1000F ?

I have an old article that showed Vance&Hines used to have them, but now they have gone cruiser crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been told by a mechanic not to worry about them. He said that #1 the CBR's don't have a lot of lift and #2 Honda gets its timing spot on so unless you are going for a full race system and have modified the capacity, flowed the head and/or changed the valve size you won't get much of a HP increase for all the rooting around you have to do.

One thing he said there are 2 things you can do to make the CBR faster.

1. Go Ohlins

2. Get some advanced rider training.

I've done the advanced rider training and its made me go a lot faster cheaper than forking out for go fast bits.

Thanks for the tip. Maybe advancing the intake cam few degs might move the powerband a bit lower. I am more into the ease of everyday driving below 5000rpm than maximum power.

No bull , if that is what you want, I would go up a couple of teeth in the front sprocket. That will give her more "umph" at lower RPM's. That's a cheap fix.. it will effect your top end, but since you are concerned with low RPM riding, then that may suit you the best. Just an idea.
