please help. I have been reading about all these do it yourself mods and I am lost. I dont have a lot of money and would really like to have more sound out of my 05 600rr. I am good with a wrench and welder but do thses things really work and most of all will it hurt my bike. if anyone can set me strait on this I would greatly appreciate the help

well, if you're handy, then unriet your exhaust and then proceed to hacking up the baffles.

Not sure if I can set you straight, but I can offer some advice. If you are looking for something relatively cheap, you will want to peruse eBay or some other type of place for a used exhaust. A good place to start might be partszparts.com

They buy used bikes and then part them out to people like us. I saw a used Micron exhaust that would have worked on my '02 F4i for $199.00.

Of course, be prepared that these might not be "like new", but then you are not paying new prices either.
