ok, since my bike temporarily has been out of commission, i have decided to change a few things. does any one have a recommendation on a sprocket change. It will be for track, but i dont want it to change so much that i wouldn't be able to "comfortabley" ride on trips.

Here is a gearing calculator.

www.iinet.net.au/~cbr/Gearing.xls

Its better on chain life to go up on the rear rather than down on the front.

If you do a search there has been a few posts about it.

Cheers

my example:
front: -1
back: +2
max speed limited down from 260km/h to 240km/h (ah, I guess you not reading metrics: 162 -> 150)
odometer is cheating up
much better acceleration of course
difference in fuel consumption not noticed (even lower due to less load on driving chain)

I had -1 on the front and + three on the rear. I loved it.
