hello all....
i need some advice. taking off my tank, i noticed the two 12MM bolts that attach to the subframe were stripped as well as the threaded hole....

can i use the same screws ( i.e. "repair them") and the threaded hole... all that i've been finding is how to Tap-n-Die a "smooth" area...

thanks!

get a tap and rethread them holes. you'll need different screws too. you can try to repair the holes using the same tap and it may work.
there is also a kit to repair busted thread in bolts. looks like a nut and you just thread it over the bolt.

The easiest thing to do is install a Heli Coil you can get from your local hardware store..
