Different climates and riding styles mean sometimes different gloves are necessary. Down here in Florida, I've got both wrist length mesh (Joe Rocket Phoenix) for warmer weather, and gauntlet length leather (Teknic Chicane) for cooler weather. I'm probably going to upgrade to the NEW Phoenix gloves for summer (better fit, more secure closure) and the Icon Tuscadero for winter.

My boyfriend has the same gloves I have, and tends to wear the leather more than anything (he rides a bit more aggressively than I do, so he likes the added protection of leather and a studded palm).

I love my 2006 AlphineStar SP-2. Comfortable even when in the 80s.

it know it is not a big brand but i kind of like the olympia gloves there comfortable and not too thick and bulky so that you cant move your hands but thick enoughf to keep you hands from getting ripped up in a crash they make the up the arm and regular hand style witch is what i perfer i just hate feeling all constricted i know the others are safer and so on but comfort is aslo as important

I love my Alpinestar SP-2's as well, never too hot or cold, they just slip over my jacket cuffs which is great so I dont get wind rushing up my sleeves and puffing me up like a marshmallow. Pricy though at around 65-80 bucks

Owned a few pair of Olympia gloves and they fell apart after 3 months on both pairs. No track at all, just the occasional street. They were great brand new but didn't last too long.

I`ve leather Gauntlet All year round for me, protect your hands n wrist better. Alpinestars GP Pro, not a bad glove but the stitching split on the right index finger on me, just through everyday use. Not good.

I wear Power Trip Grand National's and I love 'em. They are shorty style and comfy.

I choose protection over comfort. Best advice ever given to me "dress for the crash not for the ride". Remember that it just might save your life not just your ass.

LOL. Very Very true about saving your life but I do think that if you try on a few different items that its possible to be comfortable too. If your not feeling comfortable you are being distracted and movement can be restricted. My advice would be have good protection but try to find a decent comfort level as well. You dont want to be distracted when your attention is needed for other things.
