ORIGINAL: BlindLOKI Im not here to flame... but why are you so pissed at this guy who was driving legally Uhhh.. admittedly, I was driving way too fast but as I said:He was doing 85 in a 55 also and didn't signal when changing lanes! I figured it was just him and I on a long, empty highway when that jackass decides to "veere" into my lanne for no reason whatsoever without even a warning without using his turning signals! I wanted to push the bike and I felt that would've been the perfect time to do it as there is very rarely a time like that when there are no other vehicles around! We all try to find the perfect circumstance to push the bike a little and I figured that was mine until this dickweed got in my way! That's why I'm mad ! He was just as much at fault as I! He's lucky I didn't follow him and smash my friggin' helmet through his back window!

Hit pretty damn close to redline in 6th today. dunno if I should say this, but the (3) "ppl" who were chasing me... They had no chance. Stupid that you can get in trouble for skitchin. freal. I mean you fall, your bike hits a cement barrier, you slide, die, or get up and ride off, or get hit by a car... Whats the big deal? lol

I had the choice of both the 1000 and the 600...600>>much cheaper>>less insurance>>>better in the twisties>>> No need to go 180mph>> Mainly used for commuting to and fro work>>>Bike has the power when I need it and really don't feel the need for anymore than it's got>>>We got tons of traffic here on Long Island so really can't use the 1000 to it's full potential>>> did I mention much, much less monthly payments???>>>pushed it to 160 already and know it can go faster so the grin factor is more than enough for me>>> Really like the way it revs a lot higher than my buds 1000>>> Oh...and one more thing...Lot's cheaper than the 1000 but just as much fun if not more due to the fact that I've yet to see anyone in my area go above 150 for more than 2 minutes anywayz so it really doesn't make sense to pay thousands more for 2 minutes of being able to go maybe 20mph more than the 600

Peeps that can logically justify the 600 over the 1000 and stick with the logic at the dealership amaze me. If I were going to buy a bike for the track only I'd get a 600RR. I don't care about the purchase price or insurance or gas mileage -- if that stuff really mattered I guess I'd buy a Ninja 250. I like the 1000 because it has gobs of power everywhere and is docile until you kick it in the ass. And unless you got Matt Mladin on a 600 the 1000 handles damn fine.

I do care about the Price as I got a high mortgage to pay...a wife and 2 kids...2 '04 cars...2 bikes..and NY happens to be one of the most expensive places to live so while you don't care, it matters a helluva lot to me that I can have just as much fun at a much smaller portion of the price(bike and insurance) that you pay!

Im with Peejay on this one. Anyone that could seriously have any speed contests with the 600 vs 1000 is trippin. Less money out the door, more money aftermarket, 6's could dominate. Second Ive ridden almost every line of bikes. Me and my roomates have 4 different 6's and my friends all have 750's, 954's, 1000's and Ive ridden them all. The funny thing is, everyone that rides my bike, says they would only go honda on their next purchase. I have talked 20-30 different ppl out of their 1000's into a 6 due to the benefits of a 6 rather than the extra 20mph of a 1000, and a bulkier setup. Plus that ESD that the 05 has is JUNK. Plus, not much you can do on a thousand rather than goin fast. I have a guy here that got a 04 R1 for like 3 g's from this idiot, and wants to trade it STRAIGHT ACROSS FOR A 05 6RR.... For track reasons.... Now I wonder why? I think the HYPE about 1000's is BLOWN COMPLETELY OUT OF PROPORTION... Save the money from the 1k, and spend it on the 6, and you got yourself a bike thats just as quick, and looks better ;), oh and HANDLES BETTER.

Yeah, I just bought the 600RR about a week ago, and I love it--It really is quite dynamic and I, for one, admit that the bikes limits are higher than mine... and maybe the 1000 just intimidates me a little bit (but just maybe ) But, I came really close to buying the 1000RR. Somehow I rationalized that the 600 was more practical, but I realize that this is a b/s argument--a sportbike is probably the least practical way that I could possibly have spent $8000-11000. I guess in the end that I just decided that enough was enough for me, this was more power and performance than I was capable of using anyway and that I just didn't want to spend more... but I am full of crap! I give myself one season and I am swapping it for a new 1000

You'll think differently if you keep getting pulled over and ticketed a couple of times ...I just got pulled over today and now my points are gonna go up Imagine if I were on a 1000...knowing me, I'd be put in jail!! THIS SUCKS...COP TOLD ME HE HATES MY BIKE AND NEXT TIME HE'S GONNA SLAP THE CUFFS ON ME!!...He said he actually lives a couple of blocks away from me and he's gonna be watching me Maybe I should just get a big ,slow, comfortable Harley Cruiser
