I'm sure your 6 is capable of doing all of 160-165. A couple of weeks ago, myself ('01 929RR), a buddy ('03 GSX-R 750) and another buddy ('98 R1 w/mods) were flying down some back winding roads with a few 1.5 mile straightaways. At one point, the 750 took off (since he knew the route and we didn't). After the conversation after the ride, it was found that he got up to 176mph. But by the time he got up to that speed, the R1 and I (929) flew past him like he was going in reverse. I would guess we were a lot higher than the 185 you think the 1000RR will do.

Hmmm, guess it was bs afterall! It was a 2004 with 3oo miles for $3200!
