Got all my stuff from Radioshack.

LED's (6)
1 pack of resistors (depending on which LED's you choose)
1 small spool of solid 2 wire (black/white)
1 tube of Amazing Goop (to glue LED's into pegs.)

I can't wait to do this to my bike.  One question....for all of us wiring-challenged, OCD people, what's the easiest/best way to tap into the turn signal wires?  What parts should I get?

I spliced mine into the end of the stock signal so all i had to do was plug it in.

Whoever did my undertail used crimping tubes rather than end crimpers so I still had half the tube I could put the wires into and then crimp that down.

This summer I am going to re wire everything with plugs so they are easily removed.  More fit/finish.

I actually ran wire from my back turn signals down to my footpegs and but the led in that sp where that turn guard nubby thing was.  So when i put my signal on it lights up the ground on that side. Its pretty coo. Ow and since i was wired..... i mean wiring,  I went ahead on put a led strip up under my seat that lites my entire ass end up blue (bike color) then when i brake it turns amber.

Any tips on running them strictly as running lights?  I read this entire thread and I'm still kind of confused...I'm not the greatest at understanding electrical crap.  Basically, I'd like to turn my stock tail into an integrated tail light, and use LEDs in the pegs for running lights.  Possible?  Tips?

To use them as running lights, just tap into any "switched" power source - like the rear lights, headlights, etc. - anything that comes on when you turn the key.  I know this may sound vague, but it's "simple" once you figure out which wires are which.

There are online repair manuals that have wiring diagrams in them if you're having a tuff time figuring out the wiring.

ya once you figure our the wiring the hard part is just hiding the wires. but if your going to use them as running lights id be careful what color u use, what direction they face, and how bright they are(where im from cops will pull u over for ANYTHING). if you might even run them like to ur high beams that way u can shut them down if need be, unless u want a toggle somewhere

Thanks for the help.  I'm probably going to use the toggle switch that was installed by the previous owner.  Thanks again!
