Curious for anyone that has done this recently what LEDs did you use? specifically mcd rating and wavelength.
I'm thinking about getting these little guys if anyone has some feedback (LINK)

I used blue LED's on my 06 but wouldnt recoment it because i t gives me something to worry about but this is deffinatly worth doing! but in amber or red. I used the Joe Florida LEDs off ebay i had a whole kit i havent put on yet. They are very bright and i recomend them.

Done my rear pegs a while back, already had the ones by the tail light done. Used yellow emitting, clear, 3mm 10,000 MCD LEDs that have about a 25 degree viewing angle. They are barely noticeable in the day until they light up. The pegs are very bright from directly behind but the ones beside the tail light are mounted on an area that is at an angle, so they are visible from the side. I had done my front marker/turnsignals a long time ago. Made some front custom mounts, installed 5mm flat top yellow LEDs that have a 120 degree viewing angle. Got all of them off e-bay, just had to do a little soldering to put the resistors that came with them on, then some wires to hook them up. Even though LEDs are single function, with the right stuff they can serve as dual function, my fornts serve as running lights but blink when ths turnsignals are activated. This was acomplished with 2 diodes and some wire for each side. I can do a write up if anyone is interested. The same set up could be used for anyone who wants to do rear brake/tail lights also. Here's a couple of videos of my pegs and the fronts:

Yeah their really isn't much room for it on the F3 pegs. I thought about putting some on the inside of the tail lamp lens, actually behind the lens.

The previous owner had already cut the helmet lock off but I just finished grinding it down smooth. I also cut the other two little "hook" looking brackets off and ground them smooth then polished the whole thing out. I used 3mm 10,000 MCD LEDs (they were easier to fit in the tight space). I got another set of rear pegs on my F2 "toy" that I will be removing later on that still have the hooks and helmet lock. I'm gonna look into doing them and do a write up and post it here.

I've heard of people using the GSXR rear passenger pegs instead of the F3 pegs. It will bring your exhaust pipe up slightly but it will have more room for the LED's.

i am getting my 07 cbr 600 here in a few weeks, i am going to do this no doubt! Its badass.

Dont you guys have any legal issues with the led's being blue or green? We cant have them in MN because they are emergency colors.

But anyways, i suggest you guys check out

http://stores.ebay.com/Chi-Wing-LED-product-shop

you can get 100 led's with resistors for about 14$ shipped. This is where i get all my led's, great seller, and pretty fast shipping for where it comes from.

Check it out. Take care.

You could also get RGB LEDs and wire them up like that.  The wiring wouldn't be TOO much of a rats nest since you could do all the actual connections somewhere away from the footpeg.  And since to make the amber color you'd have to blend red and green in the RGB LED, you could use resistors to get just the right amount of both color to display at the same time.

In short, it'd be complicated and not for those unfamiliar with LEDs and wiring.  =)
