Thanks LikitySplit I just finished mine. I used red for mine and it looks great and works good. I am looking at doing something similar in the front also.

Waterproof, ready to wire...cheap

Has anyone used these? they look pretty sweet and easy for this application.  especially the ribbon ones you can bend to stick out.  looking forward to doing this over christmas break

Anyone have a diagram to go along with the pictures from the write up. I do better with schematics (and MS Paint masterpieces)

dont waste your time with these dim led from auto zone. if they were really bright enough you should not be able to take a picture from straight on. the leds from auto zone are overpriced and not as bright as ones off ebay or even locally at Radio Shack.

i do this in my town for extra money and this is how my installs look in direct light. the ones from auto zone are more just show lights meant to show in medium to low light settings. get the ones ones off ebay. trust me it may take a week or two to get from japan but the end result is well worth the wait.

so happy i ran across this thread...been wanting to get this done for awhile since my rear fender eliminator/integrated singals are dim as hell but now i realize its self-doable!

instead of turn signals only, i REALLY would prefer having a red running light/brake light AND amber signals(can barely see my brake light currently). anyone do this yet?

i was thinking about doing a 3.space.3 setup on each peg..3 reds spliced into the brake light wire, alittle space on the peg, than 3 ambers spliced into the turn signal wire if it could fit. if i got pre-wired leds with resistors, think i'd be able to do this without any problems?

i understand where to splice the ambers for the turn signal but not sure what the best spot for the running/brake would be so anyone with some insight would be greatly appreciated!!

gonna pick up the parts to do this today. i was looking on radio shacks web site and they have some stuff that would be awsome for this. wide angled led's http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102849&cp=&sr=1&origkw=led&kw=led&parentPage=search

led holder (would make a nice finishing touch) http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102849&cp=&sr=1&origkw=led&kw=led&parentPage=search

not to mention all different sizes and colors of led's. ill let you know how it goes!

dont use holders as it takes away from the STEALTH look. its better when you get off your bike and people say "i didnt even see those before thats cool" the leds are clear so the take the color of the peg which makes them "invisible". if nobody ever comments on your leds they are not bright enough...............

kankoon, dont use the radioshack leds either, they are not very bright at all. i would get some off of either oznium.com, superbrightleds.com, or ebay

yea i wasnt plannin on it. im ordering some of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=350064352759

im also putting some orange ones on the side of the pegs. im gonna try and fit a bunch like 10 on each peg facing the rear and prolly 5-7 on the sides. anyone know if i could get some multi colored bulbs and make it so the ones facing the rear would be red for running lights then get brightwer red for break lights and turn amber for turning? would this be possible? i dont know much about wiring stuff. if not ill just go with the red for the rear facing and hook up the running/break/turn signals to it

on a slight different angle, i have 1 of those total intergrated tail/brake/ indicator units on my 94 900rr. the indicators blink really fast, not giving the front std bulbs chance to light to the max. any ideas how to slow them down?

and the flexi LED strips? ihave 4 on mine. 2 on the undertaul and 2 under the front cowl. 3 million colour combo with remote. i find them great!
