It is actually black base coat and it has a clearcoat on top with a flatening agent mixed in the clear. Dupont offers this. It is just as durable as anything else but if it gets scratched it can't be buffed out unless the entire bike is done, then it will shine and I wanted the flat black look. This is the paint job that I paid only $500.00 for, with the plastics getting repaired also.

What do you think? I just put the rim tape on it. Can't decide if I will keep it. The quality of the pic makes it look like the stripe is all jacked up, but it is actually perfectly round

RRip...I say keep the tape it looks great...also like the RR stickers in red. By the way, nice helmet, I have one myself and love it.
