I read somewhere that the 04/05 PC USBIII will fit the 06 and the only thing needed to make it work is the map for the 06 engine. Has anyone installed a PCIII on their 06 yet? If so what map did you use?

Asked the same question to local racers and local PC dealer. All say it doesn't work, but I'm sceptical considering the source of the info. Tried e-mail to PC themselves, no reply.

The 04/05 will work on the 06. I found out on another forum. I have already installed it and the bike ran with out uploading the 06 stock exhaust map which is located on Dyno Jets site under News. I am about to walk out to my garage and upload the new map then ride to work.

After loading the MAP I ran into a slight problem with calibrating the throttle. There are two ways to do it, one with the bike running and the other with the key in and on but the bike not running and using a 9v batter as the power source. The running method would not take but the 9v method did. Weird I know but all is good.

My question to anyone with PCIII's is do you use the Accelerator Pump feature? If so what settings on a 1000RR and can you tell a difference? If you want to know what AP feature is check out www.dynojet.com

I'm using the accelerator pump on my setup, don't notice it on the road but when opening throttle full on corner exits power comes on explosively. Initially it was difficult keeping the front wheel down but after playing around I've got it spot on. Will let you know the settings when I get home 2night. I ride in Johannesburg South Africa which is at 1600m above sea level so our bikes / cars always feel flat, I definately have a edge out of corners even against V-Twins.
