I have been looking at the cycle cat and the pit bull. both will do spools or frame. Cycle cat is 225 and the pit bull is 140. The cat looks to be the best but thats a lot of money for a stand. Just want to know if it is truly worth it.

I have the Cycle Cat and like it a lot. As advertised, my 12 year daughter can lift our bikes using it with no problem. The Pit Bulls are good but you just have to be extra careful when using them. I find the paddock stands that have the lever facing forward interesting since it allows you to stand next to the bike closer when lifting it.

so in your opionon it is worth the 225 plus shipping for the peace of mind that your not going to drop your 8000 dollar baby on her side while changing her oil. My main thing is that i have a hard time waiting for a buddy to come by or my girl so i can have that person there just in case. Also how about getting it off the stand how hard is that. I see alot about putting it on the stand but none about taking it off of it.

I really appriaciate the info i am really anal when it come to my wheels.(i am worse about my car)

I thought it is was worth the extra money for the peace of mind when I had the extra money. Now I am pinching pennies because I just learned the engine in my 98 Expedition needs replaced so I am leaning toward a conventional rear stand since they are cheaper. Like everything else it comes down to paying for convenience. I don't anticipate having to have both my bikes on the rear stand at the same time until next winter so I will wait till then to buy a second rear and front stand.

pit bull are tight stands mang...
if you can't put the bike on a stand propery and easily, you'd need some working out...lots of it actually.

i have a pitbull and dont really have any problems getting it on or off the stand by myself. i just hold the bike upright, slide the stand into place and put enough pressure on the handle to hold the bike upright, and youre good to go from there.

i have a $70 LP stand.....works fine everytime. it's all in the technique. have someone who knows how to put the bike on/off a stand show you, then practice a few times with someone spotting you....then you are good to go at it by yourself.
