80 GRAND!!!!

Man is THAT a great advertisement for Honda. It still does OK on oil consumtion? I mean I had heard there were guys out there even with a hundred K, but it never sunk in...

It doesnt use any oil at all. Used name brand gas-76 (until I found out that they are anti-gun) and Chevron and Golden Spectro synthetic oil.

A word of advice- hard wire your stator in.

How do you mean? I've already had to change mine, but what do you mean by hard wiring it in?

I mean solder the connection between the stator and the rectifier and the rectifier and the wiring harness. Both connections are found under the seat.

Gotcha. Based on some of the posts I've read, it's not a bad idea.

I was lucky - when I checked the connections you're referring to I found them to be clean, shiny and tight (there's gotta be a sex joke in there somewhere.... ) but I've read where a lot of guys have had the damnest problems with dirty or burned connectors.
