I have a Red and Silver 02 F4i. I have been thinking about having the wheels powdercoated. I was going to get them done in silver or red. I am leaning towards Red just because it seems like the bike is more silver than red but I can't decide which color to go with. What is your opinion on the color. Anyone got any pictures? Any advice is apprecited, I am not very familiar with powdercoating so if there are any draw backs to powdercoating please let me know.

The only thing you need to remember about powdercoating is that it does add a layer to ALL surfaces that are sprayed. Make sure that you cover areas that should NOT be coated. Any screw holes that get coating in them will need to be re-tapped to clean them out.

Other than that, Powdercoating is the way to go. I want to do my rims this way when it's time...

So is powdercoating something you can do yourself or do you have to take your wheels somewhere to get it done?

It's best to get someone that does powdercoating to do the job. The process involves using electrical current to apply the powdercoating and then an oven to bake the finish onto the parts.
