i just bought some new bulbs for my bike and i was wondering if someone could explain to me how to change the light bulbs on my bike. what do i need to do? Im new to this world and i dont know anything about bikes, but want to learn more. I looked in my service manual but it just told me how to aim them. any help would be great. thanks

Not a dumb question -- imagine how much the stuff costs to replace if you accidentally goof up. Most bikes are similar in that you take off the dust cover, pull off the connector and then there's a wire/spring that is hooked to keep tension on the bulb. Just press it in slightly and then to the side and it will swivel out allowing you to pull the bulb out. If you turn the bars all the way to one side and do some contortions you might can get your head in to see -- or use a small mirror and flashlight to see the 'catch' that you have to unhook.

if i want, you can also take off the whole front fairing. this will make more work for you b/c it might be hard to put it back on but thats only if you cant get to it the other way. good luck! the only stupid question is the one that you dont ask...unless it asks how to make an F4i as fast as an R1. lol
