I've got an '03 black 600RR. Its my first bike. I've had it little over a year.. bought it right before the gorgeous candy blue '04s came out. & now the black trible '05s! SHEESH!
I would say i love it... i do.. but i rode a friend's '05 1000RR the other day And now i've got to have that!
I've been struggling with first gear wheelies on my 600.. was scared of 'popping the clutch' - but i was briefly taught how the other day & i think i just don't have big enough hands?
But the 1000....... Wheelies (1st gear) soooooooooooo smooth & easy! & (of course) SO much quicker.
I haven't topped out my 600.. the fastest i've taken it was 144 & i was barely hanging on! But most of my friends have litter bikes (they're boys!) & although i must admit -& have been told- i do a dang good job of keeping up... a 1000 would make life so much easier!
But until i win the lotto my 600 will do just fine.
I've finally chopped the bulky plate rack in the back. I designed a 'hide-away license plate' hinge that i kick up when *shhhhh* running the tollbooths. I've got blue neons underneathe & am about to have a blue LED "knight rider" light put in the front between the windsheild & speed-o-meter.
Bye 4 Now

Wow, that must be a good friend to let you ride wheelies on his bike. Popping the clutch to start the wheelie just takes some getting used to. If you can already ride the wheelie, you shouldn't have any problems. Just keep your foot close to the back brake if there is trouble.

The easiest way I've found to lift the front in 1st is to power wheelie. Cruise at 8500-9000 rpm, drop the throttle while compressing the front suspension, and open up while pulling. I've gotten the front to float up beautifully to 10 o'clock many times now. Not that you need advise judging by your pics, but for anyone else learning.

I've been practicing for a couple weeks now. I got some advice from a local stunt riding group. Oh, and i do them sitting for now to keep more stable.

Thanks for the advice! I'll take all I can get.

Yeah.. i got cool friends who are willing to let me ride their bikes.. they trust me.. they've seen me ride

I've got a (girl) friend rider (here in dallas) who's into stunting too.. she does the same stuff as me, but her boyfriend is in a stunt group so she rides on his bike while he does slower type stunts. I can't do much slow.

& yeah.. JoJo is cool... I'm definately down to do a riding video... Just gotta get someone to drive along side & someone to film!
