i was wondering if a 1987 carb set will work on a 1990 1000f? any one know?

I've wondered myself. The Haynes manual lists the 88-89 carb as a Keihin #VG90A (all other US models). The 90-91 is a Keihin VG93A. Listing the 88-89 first, the main jets are 120 and 122, and pilot jets are 35 and 40. The pilot screws are set 2 turns out and 3 turns out, and the float levels are 9.5 and 9.0. Seems like those are the only differences.

hey:

older 87-91 cbr carbs were also larger than the newer 93 plus bikes.
