front sprockets are cheaper than rear sprockets. and -1 in the front is about equal to +3 in the back, no real advantages to one over the other. but the front sprocket will be cheaper and is quicker to change out than the rear.

read the other thread a couple down about sprockets and chains.. search function is a great tool too...

-1 or -2 is the most you want to go down on the front sprocket...

Whats happening? I put a one down tooth on the front just the other day it took about 15 mins one trip to the dealer and twenty three bucks. the diffrence is amazing and as for top speed bairly noticable. After i put it on there was a big difference in acceleration. and its like my bike is on viagra, no problem getting it up. For twenty bucks what is there to loose. Ride safe. later i hope i could help.

Mine will jump up like a champ in 1st but I have not been able to get it up in 2nd or 3rd yet. But I am 215lbs and my clutch is slipping a little. I also thought it might be because it has 35,000 miles on it also or maybe it's just my fear.

far as i know it's stock. i am the third owner. but when doing them on my gs500 it took more than power to get it up. it had stock gearing.

if your new to it then don't get in over head at first, or you will flip it. i am sure you know this, it just takes geting you weight posistioned right and reving it high enough then poping the clutch as well as compressing the front end befor you pop the clutch. so on the gs what i did was get up to speed in 2nd then het the front brake hard to compress it then pull back and pop the clutch and it will come up, how ever on the f3 i would think it will rise a hell of a lot faster and go 12 really fast, so cover that rear brake at all times.

you may want to set the front end to be soft so you dont blow the seals out if you bring it down hard.
