I don't get it, why'd the bike lose traction? Doesn't look like he was leaning it that far to me.

i was wondering that same thing when getting on the freeway today.. new tires? touring tires then sport tires? sand? i dont know but i hope it never happens to me or anyone else.

It didnt even look like he was going that fast

I think he throttled up way to fast when he was still coming out from the turn.

Damn. I wonnder what happened after the crash?? That just shows what excessive speed can do. No reason for that to happen.

I got the wrong link too...man that site can kill some time with all those videos!

If it's the video I'm thinking of, the camera is way off in the distance (no sound) and the bike is going around the ramp (good lean, but not the best) and low-sides...he and the bike slide out into traffic and almost get creamed.

He totally took the wrong line and didn't give himself a turning point...basically he was hugging the inside of the turn the whole time and seemed to be too fast and at his maximum lean angle the entire turn...the force of the exit point his line gave him and his lean angle had only one option...low-side. If he would have made a late entry he could have hit that decreasing radius turn with one turn point, but his exit was what did him in...too bad...he could have even done an early entry which would have gave him two turn points and pulled it off, but he wouldn't have been as fast
