I just bought my bike, and the orginal owner started it up fine and drove it to a place where we could load it while I drove my truck. This is my first bike and I think I may have ran the battery out while trying to get it started, because it no longer starts. Let me tell you what happened and see what you all think.

I put the bike in neutral and fliped the engine shut off switch, turned the choke to max and pressed the ignition, it started right up. Then when I pulled up to the stop sign I accidently let the clutch out and killed the bike in first gear. After that I attempted start it in first gear but it never fired and thats were im stuck. Any ideas?

Do you have a repair manual to troubleshoot? If not, here you go:

F3 Manual

WinZip Extractor

Adobe Reader Download

Have you checked to make sure the fuel valve is open? Check the valve on the left side of the bike... I admit doing this once and thought something was seriously wrong. Opened the valve and it started right up... The bike will run for a while before shutting off if it's closed.

This could have been my problem, but either way i thought it was spark plugs so i switched those out, jumped the bike from my car (while car was off) and it started right up. Eitherway it work awesome now!

FIXED THANK YOU ALL!

Never Never try to jump the battery off a car battery thats really bad news. The batteries internals can explode its just like jumping a tonka truck off of a car the tonka truck would proberbly melt down so lets not do that again or you could be buying a new battery. (you got very lucky) yea i made that mistake about the fuel a few times so just make sure that the valve is turned on before you go. sounds like your doing everything else right if you need any more help just let us know thats what were here for.

When my bike is warm and I need to start it, I have to crack the throttle a little or it won't start. If you didn't open it up a little you might have flooded it after cranking it alot.
