When i but my bike in neutral my neutral light doesnt come on but every now and then if i rock the bike or cost for a sec in neutral it will come on and then other days it comes on no problem. Its on a 97 cbr 600. Is this a common problem? Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like neutral isn't fully engaging. This can happen if you're shifting gears while stopped as well. I've put the bike from neutral to first, then to second, then when I went back to neutral, it wouldn't engage. If you roll the bike forward a couple inches, it will click into neutral automatically. This is normal, based on my discussions with others.
