ok wrecked my bike at low speed in the grass. not much damage at all other then the radiator and brake handle. the problem i having now is that the front wheel is ever so slightly off with the handle bars. i can see from pictures before where my wheek should be, and i know its the wheel that is a bit crooked. how can i loosen the wheel to striaghten it out?

It's very possible that you bent the forks or twisted the triple clamps. What kind of crash was it? Did the front tire take a hit?

No kidding, use a tree, a pole, or a car's bumper. If while riding straight the bars are off to the left, smack the right side of the wheel on a stationary object. If the bars are to the right, smack the left. It may take a couple of smacks and test rides. I thought this was crazy until I dropped my bike on grass while putting it away. A coworker of mine (we're all auto techs) who rides motocross told me to just smack the wheel. It works, took a couple times but works. But remember you did twist your forks or triple clamp, so its possable that things may never be right again, but if it works its a free and easy repair.

Don't use exsesive force!!!!!! No good having a bent rim as well.

yea these are exensive rims so i am not trying to kill it but i might try that, everything looks striaght other wise because the fairing didnt move. just the wheel is off alignment a slight bit.

it just went down and i flew off, and it was in the grass so the extent of the damage was a broken brake handle and a bent radiator. i think the wheel just got knocked out of alignment it wasnt a big crash just laid it down

loosen off the lower pinch bolts on the lower triple clamp. get someone to hold the bars straight while you stand with the front wheel through the center of your legs. Twist the wheel straight, tighten the bolts on the lower clamp, and take it for a spin. Keep repeating the process until you are satisfied it is straight enough.
