Anybody who wants argue consider this, I have 16k miles on the bike. Oil changed every 3 thousand miles I just took the cams out to measure valve tolerances and there was hardly any wear not even close to the recomended replacement limits. You can wait and change it every 3000 miles, also. It just depends on how much riding time versus sitting time. Castrol Syntec is but I would recommend going with Mobil 1 if you are looking for a synthetic that is easily found. (in reply to Angryviking) Post #: 14

The only time the bike is sitting is when I'm at work or at sleep. Also the bike does have a slight ticking sound while it's getting warmed up. (in reply to hill1513) Post #: 15
