Last time I checked the only time you need oil is when white smoke comes out of your exhaust or your stator cover explodes off your bike and maybe a piston or 2 ripping through the steel and going thru your calves.

I saw at the Honda dealership the Honda HP4. There are two bottles, one gold one siver, I forgot which is which but one of these has an additional additive it. I cannot for the life of remember the name of this additive, but I was wondering what the additive does for the bike. The parts guy was not very helpful.

Hmmm Mobil 1, that is really convenient. Wonder if pepboys sells the oil filter. I do my car oil changes all the time, but for bike I know you have to take the fairing off. Anything else I need to know to change bike's oil? Can i just get a firm grip and take off oil filter? Can I leave fairing on to change oil? I don't mind a little mess, hehe.

I put in 3.25 qts so far and let it fun for a few seconds, but when i go to check the oil level with the bike straight up it seems to be full already. I want to add the .5 qts to equal 3.75 total, but i don't want to overfill it. I will let it run some more tomorrow and recheck it.

I would suggest Ipone or Motul full synthetic. I use Motul and it works great.
