i very much enjoy sharing my hobbies and passions with those of similar interests and seeing what you've got to share, and i love looking at your rides. it's great to see others' creativity and opinions of expression and taste. you all give me ideas and aspirations.

of course, i understand the pride that comes with having others appreciate your stuff. but it makes me question both the purpose of someone even having a bike, and the self-confidence of a person who feels it necessary to shamelessly promote themselves for the fleeting approval of complete strangers.

sure, it's nice to feel appreciated. i wholly support the community and human interest aspects of the ROTM and yes, i vote every month. but please don't make it more than it is. my bike is my very own ride of the month.
