Congrats, dude!! Wise choice -- you will enjoy your bike.

So down to the nitty gritty -- what's your budget for mods? Not trying to be nosy but there are front flush mounts that run from $14 from LP to over $100 from Gregs. Rearsets, slip-ons, fender eliminator and a whole lot more. Seems the CBR's wallow in aftermarket heaven.

depending on how well you ride, how about modding the rider first? get familiar with the bike, then you'll know what your bike needs. come talk to me afterwards.

Hmmmm, Lightning Mods = Chip + Small Pulley = WooooooHoooooo!

L8X has a point about 'modding the rider'. I've found that most noobie squids can't resist pointing out that they can handle any bike thrown at them and since you didn't come off like that I just figured you've been around the track a couple-o-times

As far as mods go you got 'go faster' mods and 'make it purty' mods. Fasterness mods include such things as slip-on $400+, power commander $300+, K&N air filter $80+, rear sets $350+, 520 chain and sprocket conversion $250+. Beautification mods might include integrated taillight $100+, flush mount front blinks $14 - $150, HID headlights $250-$450, fender eliminator $40-$200, cool seat cover things that L8X sells $(don't know ya gotta ask him).

Of course if you search really well you can find stuff cheaper than I listed -- the ##'s I threw out are just what I've seen lately for quality stuff. If you find something significantly cheaper then there may be a reason (read: piece of $hit) so be careful. There's a few guys on here who won't steer you wrong: L8X, Limpy@Apex, and Superbike supply.

It should kill top end cause I want it too.... I want gearing to pull up in third...

Thats why i ordered a 525 chain for my stock sprockets, and the 520 for stuntin/whatever.... I know, everyone said that I have the chains backwards for race and durability. But O well, its done now lol.

Your chains will outlast the sprockets -- 600 is so light and that big a$$ rear sprocket will soften the load for the chain also. Did you go with aluminum for the rear or stay with steel? Getting rid of unsprung weight will make transitions in the twisties even better -- I had good luck with an aluminum from Sprocket Specialties (or specialists or something like that)

I got a hookup at dynoJet here in vegas.

The full is header back, and the slip on is just... slip on lol..

I got killer deals on all this shit from my work, so I had to ****in snatch it all up... My card is maxxed lol!!!.... but hey, once in a lifetime chance to get 1/2 price basically on all sh*t...

I went with aluminum sprockets, and 520 conversion. I see it as, acceloration is the key to most wins and finishes... I have 6 gears, only time ill use the full 6 is on a STRAIGHT road? I dont like straights w/out $$$ bet on the side in a 1/4...

Guy at my work said he'll race me in the 1/4 for 50$ a race... He has 3 up in the rear, and a leo... Plus, I was stock and spanked him.... I think Ill buy me some more goodies after his ass lol...

The chain is AWESOME... Best chain I think on the market. Lookwise too. Plus, since I got both chains I can convert back to stock anytime :D...

Ill see if I can get you a hookup on the sprockets... aight? you'll have to order them through me though... Ill see what I can do mang.

I know a guy out in Vegas with a sleeper turbo busa -- he does 180's in the 1/4 without a bar. Always check behind the front wheel when ya put $$ on it
