The last owner for my bike had broke his only key so he went to the local honda shop to make a new one. Long story short, the guy just gave him the master key to all 1999 hondas. I feel like being evil ...

Not worried about the gas being siphoned but DThompson makes a good point with stuff being put into the tank. If I do have to buy another new cap I'm going to get the pro tek keyless setup to go along with my pro tek sliders. Thanks for the help guys.

The key code is 3 digits. I ended up talking to a bunch of dealers and locksmiths around here and we got it figured out. If you pull out the two bolts that hold the ignition cyclinder in and slide it out you will find a code on the back of it. The last 3 digits of that code are your key code. The first letter is the blank style and the last 2 are the key code. This can also be found on the underside of the gas cap and most likely near the helmet lock somewhere.

I'm not sure what you have for a bike but on mine all I did was pull the 8 allen bolts out of the mounting collar for the fuel cap. Then you can just pick the cap off and flip it over to find the code. My ignition was in there tight to but if you use a socket wrench and put the torx tip on the end of it you should be able to get it off.
