I plan to flush the radiator this weekend

When I brought the bike last year, there was no coolant, just water
I want to dump the water, flush out the system and refill with coolant (50/50)

I figure that I would remove the fairing, disconnect the water hose on the lower left of the bike and flush though the radiator cap. Any subjections before I start.

Hey:

Unless you are going into a colder climate, during the hot summer try water wetter and plain old water it runs cooler, then just add coolant
antifreeze 50/50 when you store for the winter as part of the winterizing of your bike.

Winters are not as cold here, as there, I expect, So the bike gets used year through
In Queesnsland, Australia, winters are cool, summers are Hot (What's Snow?)
My temp gauge always sits about ¼ until I have to stop for lights or traffic, then it gets hot and usually the Fan kick in.
I also want to run coolant to protect the engine from corrosion

Hey:

The water wetter product does help against corrossion and build up, it also runs 10-20 degrees cooler than 50/50 mix anti freeze
and should have a simular product base in OZ, it is a bottle to a couple of gallons of water and is the answer to hot wx. I started using
it in the desert and was the only thing that worked in that heat besides removng the thermostat core and spring, and putting on/off switch
inline on the fan. it never overheated/got hot even though I did.

I was thinking of putting a switch on the fan so when you get in traffic, you can initiate the fan yourself, or maybe have it wired to the neutral switch so it comes on in neutral
