Thank you all for all the nice comments! The "story" about this bike is... I was looking to by a bike for this season. I'm 31 and was alwasy kind of respectfull for bikes: their speed, power, etc... Actually I was scared too... But for unknown reason this spring I had this urge to own one. Specially that two of my friends from work have GSXR1300 Hayabusa and R1 and they ride to work durring the summer. So, I looked for a bike. I always liked V-Max. I was going to buy a new one but I figured it was too big and too powerfull for my first bike... Plus I didn't feel like spending 11Gs for my first bike and older ones are freaking expensive. I told about my plans to my friend, who has ZX-6R and he told me about this cop from Chicago, who has CBR600F3 for sale with only 887 miles on it! Well, I called the guy and went to see the bike. I never heard about Smokin Joe (like I said - I was not in bikes at all!) but when I saw it for the first time - I felt in love with colors and just the fact that it's practically new bike. When I got there battery was dead, so I didn't ride it. I'm a total car freak - have Subaru Forester XT, Honda Accord, used to have tunned Civic and Accord V6... Anyway - I know Honda makes great engines, so I decided to take this bike. I went back two weeks later and bought it - paid $4500. Now I ride it to work every posible day, so for in last two weeks I put close to 450 miles. Oh, and the reason why he didn't ride it? I'm not sure if this is all but according to him, he went to Police Academy right after he bought it and never had time to ride it. Plus he told me about this one situation when some lady cut him off and he had to lay on the side. He scretched the bike but everything was fixed and there is only two spots that still have little marks: left handle and left rear turning signal. Maybe after that he was scared to ride it? I don't know. However - I'm glad he didn't! Anyway - I'm not planning to save this bike for future generations. I will ride it as much as I can and hopefully enjoy it. I'm still thrilled byt its acceleration and power... My Subie is really fast (1/4 mile in 13.9 sec.) but this... oh man... I love it! I'm sure I will be asking many questions on this forum. I know a lot about cars and mechanical stuff (I'm a mechanical engineer) but as far motorcycles - I'm a total "NOOB". Thanks everyone! Peter
