I don't care if the manual does say 14ft/lbs it's fargin wrong Should be 8ft/lbs -- those frikkin pan head bolts snap like a mofo at 14ft/lbs.

Well in order to change a tire I had to remove one rotor. Get tire mounted and put rotor back on. Check manual for torque specs. 14 ft/lbs. I double check as this seems high for 6mm bolts. Yes, it is 14 ft/lbs. Set the wrench at 8 ft/lbs and tighten criss-cross pattern. Re-set at 10 ft/lbs and SNAP -- WTF???? So I go to the next one (like a dumbass) and SNAP. So I re-re-check and yes it's 14 ft/lbs. So I get my trusty nut and bolt book and it says for 6mm bolts:

grade 5 max torque 5 ft/lbs
grade 8 max torque 6 ft/lbs

So Honda screwed up in the book. I had some extra 6mm bolts and a bolt extractor -- got 'em out easy enough and ordered all new from the stealership at $32.

Just a friendly post to let you know not to follow that direction -- also if that little voice in the back of your head says "This don't sound right" check with another source of info before proceeding.
