Hey I read a post from not to long ago on polishing the swingarm and frame. It talked about sanding down the powder coat then wet sanding it, then polishing it with something like mother's chrome polish. Does anyone know if it is the same process for the engine covers, such as the stator cover? If anyone has done them or even their swingarm and frame. Please give me some tips and some pics would be cool too.

polishing the covers is the same as polishing the frame. Just take your time, this is something you cant rush, and work your way through all the grades of sandpaper, they sell stuff for polishing your frame and stuff, it's a kit on ebay that i saw, it comes with a couple jars of some paste that you use to really get it to shine.

after I stripped the paint off my starter cover it was already to a fine grit from the factory so i started on 1000 grit and went to 1500 and then buffed it and it looked just as good as the frame were I started at 60 grit and went up!! and mothers dream works awsome!!
