Just want to use this post to say hello to fellow 1000RR enthusiasts.
I finally got one today at my local Los Angeles Honda dealership.
My "out the door price" was $11700.00 w/c seems so high compared to non-CA owners.
Is this a good price or did they pull a fast one on my eager arse.
Just want to see what the average price you guys got OTD.
I chose the black version and I can tell you that it is a beast compared to my 02 CBR600F4i.
Thanks and I will post pictures soon.
D.

I paid roughly $10,422. This is buying mine from Honda Powersports located in Chattanooga TN for $9736 "out there door" then paying 6.75% sales tax back in OH. I say "roughly" because I might be off by $30 or $40. I am too lazy to dig out the paper work.

I paid $9,999 (+ New York Tax) for mine three weeks ago. Like the other posts said, if you are happy with the bike, don't look back at the price. After three weeks of riding the bike, I am very happy with all aspects of the new machine.
Congrats and good luck. I think you will be verry happy with you choice at whatever the price.

Thanks guys!
I guess it is true coz I took it for a spin this morning and I would have paid more for this much fun.
From an F4i to a RR is just no comparison.
Will be doing some more break-in procedures and then try to join in on the next available track day.
This is my first liter bike and I cant believe these things are legal.
Thanks again and be safe.
D.

Out the door is hard to compare from one state to the next. Differing sales tax rates and liscensing fees make it a moot point. The actual sales price w/frieght & prep pre tax and dmv fees is the only way you guys can compare.

Well all these posts on mine make me realize that i literally got ass raped, totally. I paid 12,500...(yes i know i know) for mine. I had always thought from talking to other people that there really isn't much of a mark up on rec vehicles like this. I assumed the msrp is basically what ur gonna get it for, plus the fees of the dealer and taxes and such. I paid like 10,800 for the bike, plus the freight fees, taxes and the misc title and lisc fees to equal 12,500. I actually got a quote from about 3 seperate dealers tho and they all said about the same price OTD at 12,500. Oh btw i live in southeastern michigan...close to detroit if that means anything....DAMN i feel so taken advantage of haa...
Oh well..all in all i still got the bike of my dreams so thats all that really matters. Just makes me mad everyone else got my dream bike cheaper!

You violated the first law of consumerism. Ask people about their deals BEFORE you buy, not after!

Southern Powersports

You'll get a new Honda from Southern Powersports for less than you'd pay anywhere else. But understand, that's all you'll get. The actual dealership is crappy, they have no concept of customer service, and your bike will be dirty when you pick it up. If you go on a Friday or a Saturday plan on waiting a few hours until someone is available to actually close the deal on your $10,000 purchase. If you don't care about any of these things and price of the bike is most important to you then Southern Powersports is the place to go.

Good luck with that. I'm interested to hear what your dealer says. There's no way my local dealer would even consider matching that price. In fact, I visited my local dealer that offered me $12,000 OTD at 9.75% interest a couple days ago to get my deposit back. He asked my if I'd bought anything yet and I told him about the price and where I got it. He couldn't believe that I drove that far.

$10,154 OTD, pretty much best price I've seen. I have to go 70 miles to pick it up but the stealership in town won't budge on the price even though they have 5 in stock they can't move, one of the drawbacks to living in a military town. My buddy and I got a package deal at Altus Motorsports (Altus, OK). Blue and yellow for him all black for me. Pick em up tomorrow and I can't wait!
